HAPPINESS
IS A WARM CUP
Southern California Overview:
- Gusty winds will occur across parts of the passes and deserts through tonight as a shortwave passes through. Warming through the weekend with less marine layer cloud cover each night and morning as a weak ridge of high pressure moves over the area. An area of low pressure off the coast will slowly come ashore through next week, bringing gradual cooling with stronger onshore winds. There is a slight chance of showers in the latter half of the week as the trough progresses inland.
- here is a Slight Risk of excessive rainfall over parts of the Southern Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley on Saturday. Light to moderate snow over parts of the Central Rockies and Central High Plains overnight Friday into Saturday and a second area of light snow over the Cascades and Northern Intermountain Region on Sunday. Strong to severe thunderstorms from the southern Mid-Atlantic, Southeast to the Southern Plains on Friday and Saturday.
