What season is it?

(San Bernardino Mountains)
What season is it here in southern California?
The warm and dry conditions the southland is experiencing this week is more typical during the fall.
No signs of this pattern changing significantly for the next 7 days or so.
Models are indicating that the high pressure over the inter-mountain west will hold through at least through early next week.
...This will mean a continued flow from the northeast (offshore). Which will mean ripe conditions for brushfires.
