Rain and Thunder

(Thunderstorm at sunrise)

A slow moving wet storm system will bring periods of rain...heavy at times to the southland through at least Wednesday.
Hourly rainfall rates may exceed 1/2" at times Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
For Los Angeles and Orange counties... the heaviest rainfall will likely occur after midnight Tuesday night through the morning rush hour on Wednesday.
There's also a slight risk for thunderstorms continuing through Wednesday. Some these storms may produce waterspouts or funnel clouds.
A Flash Flood Watch continues in effect for much of southern California through most of Wednesday (mainly in recent burn areas). Conditions are quite favorable for debris/mudflows.
