Gloom near the beaches
(La Jolla - May, 2005)A little more gloom near the beaches this morning...then previous days. This should make for a much cooler day for most people along the immediate coast.
Meanwhile... the heat will continue for the inland areas...such as the valley areas. Temperatures out there will be in the 90s to the lower 100s.
But... it shouldn't be as muggy as it was during the past few days!
On this date in 1925 in Santa Barbara:
A magnitude 6.3 earthquake destroyed buildings and resulted in 11 deaths in the Santa Barbara area.
