Risks at the beaches
(Santa Monica Beach - July, 2005)There's a high potential of rip currents along the beaches of Orange and San Diego counties for the next couple of days.
Surfers and swimmers are strongly advised to remain onshore.

Raw sewage has spilled into Mission Bay in San Diego. Some beaches are closed to high bacteria levels.
