Some history

(Coronado Island)

On this day in 1997...
Large Swells from a distant storm in the Gulf of Alaska...effects from Hurricane Nora in the eastern Tropical Pacific...and high tide produced 5 to 8 foot waves into Orange County.

The result was flooding along a 14-block stretch of Seal Beach.
Limited damage was reported.
