An unsettled weekend

Scattered light rain showers are expected to move across parts of the southland...beginning today over parts of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties...then moving into Los Angeles county later this afternoon.

Rain showers (mainly light) will be possible across much of the southland tonight.
Best chance for rain showers in Los Angeles will be from early this evening until just after midnight.

Most areas will see rainfall amounts around a tenth of an inch. But some isolated areas may see 0.20".

The other story is the high swells that will be effecting the beaches.

Some of the swells may exceed 10 feet or so (especially west/northwest facing beaches).

These swells combined with rip currents will make for dangerous conditions for surfers and swimmers.
