fire" in Riverside
County that charred
40,200 acres from October
26th through November
1st...and the largest
SoCal fire "The Day
Fire", which
scorched 162,702 acres in
Ventura County...between
September 4th and October
2nd.
- Strong
Winds:
Several periods of high
winds raked the southland
during November and
December. The strongest
being the last week of
December. Reports of 100
mph were observed in San
Gabriel mountains of Los
Angeles County.
- The Summer
Heat: Several
periods of hot
temperatures baked
southern California
during the summer of '06.
Most notable the record
breaking heat wave of
July 22nd & 23rd.
