The Big Chill has Arrived

The "Big Chill" has arrived!
...Cold temperatures with the possibility of light precipitation across the southland on Friday.

A cold (fairly intense) trought has dropped south and is located over the southern California.

This trough of low pressure will produce isolated to scattered showers...mainly areas of Orange, San Diego, San Bernardino and Riverside counties today. The snow level in these areas will range from 3,000 to 4,000'...but may lower below that level during the afternoon hours.

Meanwhile... Isolated to scattered rain and or snow showers are possible over the valleys and mountains of Los Angeles county...most numerous during the morning hours.

Snow showers above the 1,500 to 2,000 foot level over the San Gabriel mountains with the possibility of 3 to 6" total accumulations by the time it ends late in the day.

For the immediate LA area... expect temperatures today in the middle to upper 50s early this afternoon...then drop off by sunset to the lower 50s.
Breezy conditions (15 to 25 mph) are possible this afternoon.
