Some much needed rain on the way this weekend
(Vincent Thomas Bridge)Some much needed rain is on the way beginning Friday in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties then spread southward during Friday night into Ventura county then finally overspreading the entire southland during the day Saturday.
The rain should continue through Sunday morning...then begin to diminish Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening.
Rainfall at times will moderate to locally heavy.
Coastal and valley areas will likely recieve amounts ranging from a third to 3/4"
1 to 2" of rain is possible along west facing mountain slopes and foothills.
The NWS has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the burn areas of Ventura and Santa Barbara counties beginning Saturday morning and will continue through Sunday morning.
