***Update: 2:36pm/pdt, Friday, April 13, 2007***
Some occasional breeze through and just below the passes and canyons are possible until sunset Friday evening...otherwise the winds have diminished for the most part across the southland.
High swells will continue to batter the southland beaches through Friday night. The highest swells will likely occur on the west/southwest beaches. Swell between 8 to 10 feet are likely.
Another major wind event is on tap late Saturday night through late Sunday night across southern California.
The strongest winds will occur over the mountains of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles counties... the south coast of Santa Barbara county and in the Antelope Valley.
Gusts may exceed 60 mph in these areas.
Also... gusty winds can be experienced across much of the remainder of southern California late Saturday through late Sunday night.
Along with the winds will be a chance of showers across portions of the southland also a small chance of thunderstorms Sunday.
