Warming Trend begins Wednesday
Strong high pressure will bring an off shore flow to the southland through Friday. This will result in hot temperatures for areas away from the coast.
Meanwhile... a weak "eddy" will bring a shallow marine layer to the immediate coast during the night and morning hours. In these areas temperatures should hold into the 70s during the daytime hours.
Some forecast high temperatures on Wednesday...
Coastal valleys... middle 80s to the lower 90s
Downtown Los Angeles... around 80
Inland valleys... upper 80s to the upper 90s
Inland Orange County... middle 80s
Palm Springs/Coachella Valley... around 107
Downtown San Diego... lower 70s
Santa Barbara (city)... lower to middle 70s
Hesperia/Victorville... upper 90s
Lancaster/Palmdale... middle to upper 90s
Gusty winds up to 30 mph are possible during the afternoon/evening hours over some mountain and desert locations.
