Increasing monsoonal flow this weekend into next week.

(Decaying thundershower)

Increasing moisture will lead to an increasing threat of mainly afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms beginning Friday and lasting through much of next week over the southland mountains and deserts.

Come early to mid part of next week... there will be a threat of flash flooding over the mountains and deserts (especially San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties).

With this flow... expect and a decrease in the marine layer along the coast with warmer temperatures inland areas. Temperatures may reach or exceed the 100 degree mark over the interior valleys this weekend and early next week.

The coastal plain will see near to slightly above seasonal normals.
