A few mountain/desert thunderstorms on Thursday

(Desert Thunderstorm - July, 2005)

There will continue to be enough instability and moisture to produce afternoon and evening showers/storms over the mountains/deserts of Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties on Thursday.

The primary threats from any storms that do develop will be... brief downpours, locally gusty winds and cloud-to-ground lightning strikes.

Elsewhere across the southland... it will continue to be hot and sticky on Thursday. Temperatures will once again be around 90 in mid city LA and inland portions of the OC, 100 to 106 in the interior valleys.

If you want relief from the heat... head to the beaches... temperatures along the immediate coast will range in the middle 70s to near 80.
