1st Santa Ana wind event of the season arrives this weekend
(Santa Monica Beach)The first Santa Ana wind event will arrive over the weekend.
The off shore flow will bring warmer temperatures and gusty winds over the southland with the strongest winds occurring Saturday night and Sunday.
The strongest winds will likely occur through and just below the passes and canyons...with some gusts exceeding 55 mph at times.
The National Weather Service has already issued Fire Weather Watches and Wind Advisories for portions of southern California.
