Moderate off shore flow to develop over the southland

A moderate off shore wind event is on tap for late Friday through Saturday.
The strongest winds will occur in the unsual locations... through and below passes and canyons.
In some locations... gusts will likely exceed 55 mph in some spots.
Temperatures with this flow will not change much... remaining below normal for the most part.
Looking ahead to next week...
Big changes (possibly!)... a cold trough of low pressure may bring a chance of precipitation to the southland by mid to late week?
