Large swells mid week then wet weather late week into the weekend

Dangerous swells will pound the beaches of SoCal through Thursday morning.
Some sets may reach 15 feet at times...especially exposed west facing beaches.

Later in the week into the weekend:
A large storm system is expected to bring moderate to locally heavy rainfall to the southland beginning late Thursday night and continue through much of the weekend.

The heaviest and greatest areal coverage of precipiation will occur late Thursday night through Friday night.

The possible also exists for thunderstorms especially on Saturday.

Snow is likely to fall over the mountains...with the possibility of heavy snows over the higher elevations.

It will breezy to locally windy...mainly over the mountains and deserts with this system.
