Cold northwest flow aloft this weekend
*Updated at: 4:23am, February 01.2008*
A wintery pattern for the southland this weekend... as a distubance caught up in the northwest flow makes it way through the region.
Look for increasing cloudiness through Saturday leading to a chance of showers by Saturday night then continue through Sunday.
At this time... rainfall amounts will range from 1/10 to 3/4" across the coastal plain and valley regions...with 3/4 to 2" possible in the mountains.
The deserts are only expecting amounts ranging from 0.01 to 0.20".
Temperatures will be below normal Saturday and Sunday.
It will be breezy to locally windy at times...especially interior areas of the southland.
An offshore flow will bring fair and warmer conditions to the region for much of next week.
