Rain/wind and mountain snows remainder of the weekend

Storm number three will impact the weather across the southland for the remainder of this weeekend.

This storm will bring scattered to numerous rain showers with lowering snow levels over the mountains and gusty winds to the region through Sunday night.

Additional rainfall amounts will likely range from 0.50 to 1.00" along the coastal plain and in the valleys. Local amounts to 2" possible along favored south/southwest facing mountain slopes/foothills.

Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet are possible over the mountains of San Bernardino/Riverside counties by midnight Sunday night...mainly 6,000 feet and above.
6 to 12" possible over the eastern San Gabriels by early Monday morning...and 4 to 8" elsewhere over the L.A./Ventura county mountains.

Gusty winds will blow...especially over the mountains/deserts. Gusts to 45 mph are possible through early Monday morning.

High Surf will continue to pound southland beaches for the remainder of the weekend along with a continued high risk of rip currents.
