Two impulses to affect the southland through Sunday night
Two Impulses to affect the southland through Sunday night.
The first one will bring scattered moderate to occasionally heavy showers to the region Sunday morning.
The shower activity will taper off briefly Sunday afternoon.
The increase Sunday night/Monday morning... as a second disturbance passes by.
This system will bring another round of scattered showers to the area.
Additional rainfall amounts through Monday are expected to range from...
0.25 to 1.00" coastal plain/valleys,
1.00 to 2.00" mountains with local 3 to 5" amounts possible on south-facing mountain slopes.
Snow levels will lower to 4,000 feet by Sunday evening.
Accumulations of over 1 foot possible over the mountains of Ventura, Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside counties mainly at and above 6,000 feet (this will include the ski resorts!!!).
Additionally... surfers beware... high surf will continue to pound the southland and central coast shoreline through at least Monday morning.
It is "strongly advised" to remain onshore...until the surf and rip current danger subsides.
