Warm, windy along with high surf this weekend
High pressure will build over the intermountain west this weekend.
This will result in a moderate off shore for the southland over the weekend into the first couple of days of next week.
For the weekend...
...Sunny skies with warming trend. Temperatures will warm into the 70s for the coastal plain/valleys...with temperatures expected to peak on Sunday afternoon.
Gusty winds will blow out of the northeast... with the strongest winds through and just below the passes and canyons.
A building northwest swell over the weekend will make for dangerous surfing conditions along southland beaches. Some swells may top 12 feet at times along northwest oriented beaches.
