Wet/windy weather for the southland the coming days

Three storms will impact the southland later Thursday through Monday.

The strongest storm system will move over the region Friday evening through Saturday evening.

Total forecast rainfall amounts are as follows (through Monday):
Coastal plain & valleys: 2 to 4"
Mountains: 3 to 10" (10 plus inchess south facing slopes)
High Deserts: up to 1"
Low Deserts: around 1/2"

Snow levels will initially be above 6,500 to 7,000' then lower significantly by Sunday PM and Monday.

It is possible... that snow may fall over portions of the Antelope Valley and other high desert areas late Sunday or early Monday morning.

Along with the precipiation... strong and gusty winds are likely over most areas.

High surf and risk currents over the coastal waters.

There also will be a risk of thunderstorms that may spawn waterspouts over the coastal waters over the weekend.
