Mini heat wave developing by the weekend
High pressure is expected be centered over southern Idaho by Saturday morning. This will produce an off shore of warm, dry air over the southland beginning Friday and continuing through the weekend. Temperatures are expected to peak out on Saturday...before dropping a few degrees on Sunday.
Widespread 80s are expected on Saturday over much of the coastal plain and valleys... except the beaches where temperatures will remain in the upper 60s to the middle 70s.
Some favored valley locations such as Woodland Hills and Hemet will rise abover the 90 degree mark on Friday and Saturday.
