A very rare weather phenomenon the "double rainbow" is caused by double reflection of sunlight inside the raindrops, and appears at an angle of
50°-53°. As a result of the second reflection, the colors of a secondary rainbow are inverted compared to the primary bow, with blue on the outside and red on the inside.

In southern California, "Double rainbows" are an extremely "once in a lifetime" weather event to witness.



The most likely location to witness this weather phenomenon is the deserts during
monsoon season " from late July through early September"
